    So grateful to be able to watch this masterclass 🌟 Though when comparing 17:21 and 18:45, I felt the final details made the painting slightly too "busy" and some of its initial freshness was lost.

    I am truly grateful for your great video. I do watercolors and have been studying color theory on my own in preparing my palette. Trying to keep it to 18 colors (or less), and still be able to have range in the paintings I do. Again, great video, plus I got to "meet" another great American artist.

    The crucial element you scarcely mention - but do drop in passing - is the 'personality' of the onlooker. Creating Art is not the same as looking at Art and no Artist can dictate how the onlooker reacts.

    Good one Kenn! As you know, it's tough to keep the "freshness" of a small plein air study, enlarged into a studio painting; but you managed to do that by not going Too large. ;D The great Scott Christiansen once said, in a vid I have of his, that, "Ugly is one thing, but Big and Ugly is a Totally other thing", with regard to doing larger paintings!! LOL :D

    Fantastic tutorial Andy! I’ve got the same book but it’s so poorly rendered the pics are all very soft focus. In some ways, you only have to look at TC to see how to paint (and yourself of course)! I believe he’s still going at 91. Great stuff!!
